Volvo Financial Services (VFS) has announced that it will continue its partnership with JA (Junior Achievement) Worldwide until 2025. The collaboration aims to provide financial literacy skills and knowledge to more young people worldwide. In addition, VFS and JA will expand their programs to include Romania and Sweden, joining the existing programs in Brazil, France, India, Italy, Peru, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Marcio Pedroso, President of VFS, highlighted the importance of understanding basic financial principles in today’s rapidly changing world. He noted that equipping young people with these skills not only contributes to their individual success but also helps build a more equitable and sustainable society. Pedroso expressed pride in continuing the partnership with JA and expanding its impact.

Since establishing their partnership in 2022, VFS and JA have worked together to provide financial knowledge to youth through JA’s proven curriculum. VFS volunteers and JA educators collaborate to teach young people, who also have the opportunity to learn about finance-related careers from VFS employees. In the first year of the partnership, approximately 140 VFS volunteers worked with JA educators to reach over 14,000 young people worldwide.

The partnership renewal and expansion align with VFS’s commitment to making a positive impact on society and Volvo Group’s dedication to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Financial literacy positively impacts several SDGs, including empowering women and girls and promoting quality education.

JA Worldwide offers practical, comprehensive learning in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial health.
