Trina Solar Co. Ltd., a global leader in intelligent photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, has received top honors for its transparent black Vertex S+ module in a recent PV Magazine test report.

In the comprehensive evaluation conducted by PV Magazine Group, various photovoltaic modules were rigorously tested for their performance and energy production. The assessment encompassed indoor performance evaluations as well as on-field tests for energy yield.

To ensure integrity and impartiality in the results, industry-renowned consultancy ACE was recruited as a third-party technical expert to oversee the testing process.

During the indoor test session, Trina Solar’s Vertex S+ Clear Black module stood out with an impressive average score of 92 points. It surpassed modules utilizing HJT, p-type IBC, and n-type IBC technologies in key areas such as appearance, EL (electroluminescence), low-light performance, temperature coefficient, and PID (potential-induced degradation).

Notably, the Vertex S+ Clear Black module achieved remarkable results in the optional LID (light-induced degradation) sub-element, scoring 99 points overall. It significantly outperformed the average scores in both PID and LID.

Earlier this year, the Vertex S+ Clear Black module demonstrated outstanding performance in the TOPCon/HJT field test, securing the top spot on the monthly list with an impressive energy yield of 43.24 Wh/Wp.

Combining the rectangular silicon wafer technology (210R) and advanced i-TOPCon N-type technology, the Vertex S+ Clear Black module achieves a remarkable efficiency improvement of 22.3% and an impressive power output of up to 445 W+.

Cao Yunduan, Trina Solar’s Head of Global Brand and Marketing, affirmed, “The Vertex S+ series modules represent the pinnacle of innovation and performance in the solar industry. The impressive performance of the Vertex S+ module in the latest round of testing reaffirms our commitment to providing superior quality products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
