During the event, Pathways LA recognized Walmart Neighborhood Markets with the prestigious Bea Gold Corporate Award for their ongoing contribution to the participants of Pathways LA programs. In addition, Pathways LA presented the Bea Gold Compassion Award to Congressmember Jimmy Gomez, who represents California’s 34th District (CA-34) and is the Founder Chair of the Congressional Dads Caucus. This award acknowledges Congressmember Gomez’s dedication to advocating for early childhood education and his efforts in supporting families and children in the community.
The event featured an inspiring guest speaker, Arrian Landaverde, an alumna of the West Hollywood Preschool. Landaverde shared her personal story on how early childhood education influenced her academic and professional journey. Her experience at the preschool contributed to her decision to pursue a degree in Environmental Management and Protection with minors in Biology and Spanish from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
