Hygenco Green Energies, a subsidiary of HHP Five Private Limited, has reached a significant agreement with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Industrial Park (GIP) to establish a large-scale green ammonia project in Gopalpur, Odisha. The project aims to produce 1.1 million tons per year of green ammonia in multiple phases, with the first phase expected to be operational by December 2026.

As a pioneer in the production of cost-effective green hydrogen, Hygenco plans to leverage its expertise in this field to manufacture green ammonia at the lowest possible cost for its customers. The project has received approval from the high-level authority of the Chief Minister’s Office in February 2024.
